About our affiliate links
We may earn a commission when you make a purchase through an approved affiliate link on this website.
What that means for a reader
An affiliate link connects a recommendation to a merchant that can attribute a resulting purchase to this publication. When we use one, we place a plain-language disclosure near the recommendation. A link in the footer alone is not our approach.
You decide whether to follow a link or buy. The merchant handles its own checkout, availability, delivery, returns, and customer service. We do not sell or fulfill the products described in our articles.
What a commission does not establish
A commercial relationship does not prove quality, suitability, or effectiveness. Our articles must explain their evidence and tradeoffs. We do not describe researched products as personally tested, invent ratings, or hide material limitations.
Sponsored work
Paid sponsorship, gifted items, and other material relationships require a clear disclosure when relevant. Sponsorship is separate from an ordinary affiliate link.
Our reference
Our disclosure approach is informed by the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and affiliate marketing.
